If you love to color, you'll adore the Country Home stamp set! I've been really enjoying coloring these beautiful autumn bouquet images! Today, I'm sharing two cards with a similar layout, each one featuring a fun way to color!
But first, I wanted to give a shout-out to my Too Cool team members who joined us last night at our monthly Stamp & Share event!
Too Cool Stampers Rock! We had a full house and we enjoyed assembling paper samplers, sharing our stamped projects, prize giveaways and talking about how to improve our classes. I LOVE these women and I feel so blessed that we can join together each month! Stamping is so much more than putting ink to paper…it's also about all of the wonderful friendships that have developed with those who share a passion for papercrafts! Country Home Greetings Cards
I couldn't wait to color the Country Home fall bouquets! I tried one with Watercolor Pencils and one with Stampin' Blends. These images are perfect for "thinking of you" and thank you cards!
Watercoloring—I stamped the Country Home jug image in Smoky Slate ink onto a 2-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White, then stamped I stamped the bouquet above it in the same ink. Then, I used Watercolor Pencils to lay down color in each of the areas. I used a Blender Pen to smooth out the color. I added a little more pencil color to shade in some of the jug and leaves, then blended those out, too. I chose a soft color palette of Basic Gray, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Calypso Coral.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the little oval image in Smoky Slate onto a Whisper White scrap and added a sentiment in Old Olive ink. I hand-cut it and adhered it to the front, but you could simply add the greeting to the original stamped image and avoid two layers. The finished colored image was matted onto a 2-3/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Old Olive.
Finishing Touches—I wrapped some of the new 3/16" Braided Linen Trim from the Country Lane suite around the card, tying it into a double-knot and fraying the ends a bit. This trim is such a nice texture addition to fall projects, especially because it is so easy to tie! I hope that they carry it over! I finished by adding some brushed silver Metallic Pearls to match the color of the jug. What a fun detail! Don't forget that you can earn a FREE pack of Metallic Pearls when you place a $75 order this month using my Host Code: JCZEWNUJ.

Two Cool—For the second version, used Stampin' Blends with a rich, bold color combination. The background is in Cajun Craze cardstock with a piece of the Garden Impressions DSP across the bottom! I love that Mango Melody color combined with Cajun Craze for fall!
Awesome Accents—I added some Copper Trim on this one and kept the silver Metallic Pearls.
Beautiful Blends—This Country Home image looks AMAZING when it's colored with Stampin' Blends Markers! I love how it turned out! I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black, then used Smoky Slate for the jug, and Cajun Craze, Granny Apple Green, Cherry Cobbler and Mango Melody for the bouquet. The Country Home sentiment is stamped in Cajun Craze. I matted the image onto Copper Foil this time to step it up a bit!
