Darling Dinos Dino-Mite Birthday Card
Here’s a sneak peek of the first card from my Darling Dinos LIVE Class. Please join me tomorrow on my Too Cool Stamping Facebook page at 4pm ET. If you’re wanting to create some super-cute cards for the kiddos in your life, this is the perfect class for you. Best part is that adults will love these, too!
Background Basics
I started by showcasing some coordinating patterns of the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper. I adhered each of the three patterns, measuring 1″ x 4-3/4″, to a 3-1/2″ x 5″ piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock. I mounted the background onto a Misty Moonlight card base.
Sweet Sentiment
I die-cut a Basic White Countryside Corners label, stamping a Darling Dinos sentiment in Misty Moonlight at the bottom. I also stamped the balloon strings in Memento Tuxedo Black ink three times near the top of the label. It’s adhered to the background with SEAL Adhesive.
Focal Point
I stamped a Darling Dinos dinosaur, as well as the balloons and bow-tie, in Memento Black onto Basic White cardstock. I die-cut them with the coordinating dies from the Darling Dinos Dies.
I colored the images with Stampin’ Blends Markers. The dinosaur is colored with Old Olive, Pecan Pie, Light Gray Granite and Boho Blue. The balloons are colored with Gray Granite, Old Olive & Light Mossy Meadow and Boho Blue. The bow-tie is in Boho Blue.
I popped up the dinosaur and two of the balloons with Dimensionals and the bow-tie is attached with a Glue Dot.
Finishing Touches
I brushed some Wink of Stella glimmer onto the balloons and added a few Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems. So sweet and sparkly!
