Dashing Deer Mini Merry Deer Card
I love the small focal point and minimal stamping on this elegant card style. It's soft Very Vanilla color with the embossed Swirls & Curls texture and a touch of beautiful Very Vanilla Lace Trim gives it a vintage snowy look!
Background Basics—This card begins with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock embossed with the Swirls & Curls Texture Impressions Folder. I tied some of the Very Vanilla Lace Trim around the layer before mounting onto a Very Vanilla Thick cardstock card base with Tear & Tape and SNAIL adhesive.
TIP: Spritz the cardstock lightly with water before running it through the Big Shot with the embossing folder for crisper and deeper texture impressions with less tearing of the fibers. Good news! The class kit comes with a Stampin' Spritzer to help you with this!
Sweet Sentiment—The Dashing Deer sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto a 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. It was mounted onto a Layering Squares scallop square die-cut from Gold Foil, then popped up with Dimensionals.
Dashing Deer—The mini deer image from the Dashing Deer set was stamped in Early Espresso into scrap Very Vanilla cardstock, die-cut with the matching Detailed Deer Thinlits die and popped up with Dimensionals. I finished up by adding a few gold Metallic Pearl accents.
Bundle It & SAVE—Purchase the Dashing Deer stamp set and Detailed Deer Thinlits together in a bundle to save 10%!
Two Cool—For card #2, I moved the square focal point to the bottom of the card. Everything else is the same.
Three Cool—This time, the base of my focal point was die-cut with the Layering Circles Framelits. And, instead of a thank you greeting, I stamped the greeting on scrap Very Vanilla then trimmed out just the word "merry" and popped it up.
Four Cool—The final card from this stack moves the circle focal point back up to the top of the card.
These pretty cards will stamp & assemble in just minutes, because I have everything except the stamping done for you!
