Color Me Bermuda - two cool

These might be my favorite cards of the entire Countdown To Christmas series because they are so bright and cheerful!

Color Me Bermuda - tree

Like my first card design, the base of the second is also created with the Circle Cards Thinlits for a fun, insteractive style.

Die-Cutting The Extended Panel: I started with a half sheet of Old Olive trimmed just shy of 5-1/2" wide, so it can easily fit through the Circle Card Thinlit.  The left side of the card stock was under the cutting ridge of the die; the right side was pulled through the die to lay on top of it so it wasn't cut.  After you run it through, the right side of the die leaves a slight impression in the paper that conveniently becomes the fold line!

Polka Dot Textured Panel: I added a piece of 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" Bermuda Bay, texture embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Folder, to the front of the extended flap.  It's wrapped with some 1/8" White Taffeta here, but my class participants will receive a full spool of White Stitched Grosgrain to use instead.

Stamped Background: The left panel was randomly stamped with some words from the Christmas Messages stamp set in Old Olive ink.  It was a bit tricky to keep the ink from getting on other parts of the card.  I simply slipped a sheet of scrap paper between the circle flip.  You might have to mask the actual circle with another piece of scrap, too.

Circle Accent: The Color Me Christmas image was stamped on Whisper White with StazOn Black, then colored with Classic Inks and Blender Pens in Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight. Class attendees receive a Blender Pen for coloring in their class kit!

After punching with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch, I adhered it onto the card base with SNAIL, then added Brights Candy Dots accents!  Cute!  My class also gets a whole pack of Candy Dots to use on the cards!

Sentiment: The words part of a larger phrase from the Christmas Messsages set.  I used the Cherry Cobbler Marker to color only the words I wanted stamped, then punched out the words with another label die from the Circle Card Thinlit set.  It's adhered to the first panel with Dimensionals.

Arrows: These cute accents are another die-cut from the Circle Card Thinlit Dies.  I love this little pop of red color to add to the whimsy!

Card Inside: Open up the card to reveal a 2-1/4" x 5" Whisper White panel stamped with another phrase from Christmas Messages in Bermuda Bay ink.  There's plenty of room to write if you want!

Color Me Bermuda - stocking

The second card features the sweet, colorful stockings colored in Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Bermuda Bay, both "hanging" from Candy Dots.  I love how you can choose any of the Color Me Christmas stamps to work perfectly with this card design!

Color Me Bermuda - stocking2

I randomly stamped the first panel with a different saying, and wrapped it with 3/8" White Taffeta Ribbon this time.  The extended panel is textured with the Stylish Stripes Folder.

The inside is pretty much the same.  But, I was having so much fun, that I wasn't done yet…

Color Me Bermuda - deer

I tried a horizontal version of the card, just for fun!

Color Me Bermuda - deer2

Awww!  Look at that adorable reindeer in his striped scarf!  I think he's my favorite!  And, that Candy Dot "Rudolph" nose is the perfect detail!

Color Me Bermuda - deer4

The inside has a similar look to the others.  The only thing that could make these cards any better would be some Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  I tried to restrain myself from adding the sparkle, but I might not be able to help myself…
