Half Full Wine Improves With Age Vineyard Cards

I'm loving the awesome vintage, watercolor look of the Half Full wine images! The Stampin' Blends Markers really make coloring the projects in this class FUN!

Background Basics—I started this card by texture embossing a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Crumb Cake card stock with the Garden Trellis Texture Impressions Folder. I wanted these cards to have the look of the wine on a bar, so I added a 3-3/4" x 1-1/4" strip of wood grained paper from the Wood Textures 6×6" DSP Stack. Doesn't it look like the counter? Too Cool!

I layered the background onto a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Basic Black mat, then mounted it onto a Fresh Fig card base.

Wine Stamping & Coloring—I stamped the wine bottle and wine glass image onto Whisper White scraps, then colored them in using Stampin' Blends markers. These awesome alcohol markers blend beautifully, providing a beautiful watercolor look with shading that brings a realistic 3D depth to the images.

Stamp the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink (recommended for use with Stampin' Blends)
The wine bottle was colored with Old Olive light & dark Blends Markers
The label was colored with light Crumb Cake Blends
The seal was colored with dark Daffodil Delight Blends
The wine glass was colored with Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake Blends

Coloring Tips—I like to color over the entire area with the lighter color marker first, using the brush tip. Next, I add some darker ink along the edges of the area using the brush tip. Then, I blend the two colors with the bullet tip end of the light marker. I finish up by taking some color out of the image with the Color LIfter Marker where the light would hit it. The blend of darker and lighter colors really brings the image to life!

Cut & Pop—I love the look of the images cut out and popped up with Dimensionals. Although this stamp set doesn't come with framelits, the images are pretty easy to cut out with the help of super-sharp Paper Snips!

Wine Tage—The Half Full tag image has a really pretty font, don't you think? I stamped it in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White. I colored the border with Rich Razzleberry light marker. The grapes are colored with a combination of the light Old Olive and dark Daffodil Delight Blends, and the leaves are light and dark Old Olive Blends. It's hand-cut and popped up with Dimensionals. I added a 1/8" Old Olive Shear Ribbon Bow with a Glue Dot.

Two Cool—I did a second version featuring red wine and grapes! The background is embossed with the Quilt Top Embossing Folder.

Coloring—This time I used Rich Razzleberry marker combo for the wine glass and seal.

I positioned the tag on the opposite side and colored the grapes with the Rich Razzleberry markers. See the shimmer on the grapes? I added a little Wink of Stella clear glimmer to the grapes and wine in the glass and seal on the top of the bottle.
