In this LIVE Class, you’ll make 5 cards featuring the Decorative Trees Bundle, Take A Bow DSP & Festive Glimmer Paper. Have fun experimenting with lots of layered tree focal points! The Decorative Trees Dies offer 7 cool, intricately cut patterned trees to layer onto a basic tree shape. Add stamped and die-cut accents, or embellish with gems to decorate a whole festival of trees. For this class, I’ve added the Take A Bow DSP for some traditional fun red & green backgrounds, along with the Festive Glimmer Paper for a dash of sparkle. I dressed up the class cards with colored Rhinestones, Drusy Embellishments, White Loose Snowflakes and more!

Decorative Trees O Christmas Tree Card
Ooooh, I love the fun, festive colors and whimsical tree on this Decorative Trees class card. You could do lots of different variations on the tree layering, but I couldn’t wait to use this stylish plaid die-cut!
Background Basics
I cut the Granny Apple Green card base at 7″ x 5-1/2″, scored at the 2-3/4″ mark for a shortened card front. Next, I added a 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Real Red cardstock on the front panel.
I added a colorful background panel by adhering Take A Bow Designer Series Papers onto a 3-1/8″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock: 3″ x 1-3/4″; 3″ x 1-1/4″; and 3″ x 1-1/2″. This DSP makes me so happy! Although it is designed to be used with the Take A Bow Die to make bows, it is perfect so all kinds of holiday projects.
This panel is adhered with SEAL Adhesive to the shortened card front.
Terrific Tree
I die-cut a Real Red Festive Glimmer tree with the Decorative Trees full tree die. Then, I die-cut a Garden Green tree with the plaid tree shape…love it! I adhered it together with tiny dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then popped it up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
I finished by adding White Loose Snowflakes to the tree with more Liquid Glue. I also die-cut a small Granny Apple Green star with the dies and attached that with a Glue Dot to the top of the tree.
Then, I stamped the Real Red Decorative Trees sentiment onto Basic White, hand-cut with Paper Snips and popped it up with Mini Dimensionals. Adorable!
