Delicate Dahlias Double-Time Stamping Cards
I love the look of the stamped image spilling off the focal point onto the background—Double-Time Stamping! It's a modified version of the Triple-Time Stamping technique, which spills over three layers. It's a fun technique to try with large outline images like the one in the Delicate Dahlias stamp set. Don't forget that you only have until September 30 to select this set for free with your $100 order during Sale-a-Bration.
Background Basics—I started by temporarily tacking down a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Basic White cardstock onto a Sahara Sand card base. Next, I inked up the large Delicate Dahlias stamp with Gorgeous Grape ink and stamped it onto the top left corner, partially onto the white piece and spilling over onto the card base. I repeated the images on the bottom right corner. Next, I pulled the white layer off the card base and stamped the "fill" images in Fresh Freesia onto the outline images. I also stamped the same outline flower in Rich Razzleberry on the opposite corners. The layer is matted onto a 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock, tied with some Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon, then mounted back onto the card base with SEAL Adhesive.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Delicate Dahlias sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a Fresh Freesia label that was die-cut with the Pretty Pillow Box Dies. It's popped up with Dimensionals and adorned with a couple of Rhinestones.
Two Cool—For my second card, I temporarily layered the white on a Mint Macaron card base, stamping the images in Memento Black ink. I pulled the layers apart, filled in the image with Gray Granite, then stamped a couple of Gray Granite images in the opposite corners. The stamped piece is mounted onto Basic Black this time and tied with some Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon.
Finishing Touches—The sentiment is stamped in Memento Black onto a Mint Macaron label, this time, and again accented with Rhinestone Jewels.
