Delicate Dahlias Thank You Kindly Cards
My first pair of cards from the Delicate Dahlias LIVE Class features the three of the two-step images from the set for a pretty multicolor card that's super-quick and super-easy to create!
Background Basics—The background begins with a 5-1/2" x 1" strip of the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper, another fun product selection you can earn during Sale-a-Bration with a $50 order. I adhered that strip to the Bermuda Bay card base, then added a 5-1/2" x 3/8" strip of Basic Gray along the top.
Fantastic Florals—I stamped the Delicate Dahlias outline images first in Basic Gray ink onto a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Basic White. I started with the largest flower, then added a few smaller blooms, and finished up with some leaves to fill out the corner bouquet. I stamped the fill image next: Pool Party ink for the large flower, Mango Melody for the smaller flowers and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves.
The thing I love most about this stamp set is that you really can't go wrong when stamping with it! The flowers look amazing, whether you use the outline images, the fill images or both.
Finishing Touches—I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray and layered it onto a 4-3/8 x 3-1/8" piece of Mango Melody…just a little offset. I mounted the layers onto the cardfront with Dimensionals. I finished by adding some gold colored Wonderful Gems. So lovely!
Two Cool—The second card begins with a Pacific Point card base and the same DSP and Basic Gray strip for the background.
Fabulous Floral—This time I stamped the same basic Delicate Dahlias layout, only with a vertical orientation. I added fills in Fresh Freesia for the large flowers, Pacific Point for the smaller flowers and Soft Succulent for the leaves. I layered it onto a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock and popped up with Dimensionals. I finished with some silver Metallic Pearls, which matches the gray ink and DSP beautifully.
