Delightful Betsy's Blossoms

Betsy - two cool

CASEd from Chiaki Haverstick at Stamping Pro.

Here are Two Cool Betsy's Blossoms cards that you'll have the opportunity to make at our "Last Thursdays" cards class!  I love the basic shapes in the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set, but I have to admit that I was having trouble figuring out how to layer the images until I found this card design!  I love it!

Betsy - birthday

I stamped the background image in Daffodil Delight, then added the leaf images in Gumball Green.  I only inked up half of the leaf stamp, so the stem would be shorter.

Betsy - birthday 2

The remaining images are all stamped on scrap paper and hand-cut.  While it takes a bit of time to cut them out, it's much easier to layer the images where you want them.  The bird is in Rich Razzleberry with a cut-out and popped up wing, and a Rhinestone Jewel eye.  The small blooms are in Primrose Petals, and the larger flower is in Raspberry Ripple.

Betsy - thank you

The collage is layered on Gumball Green, then wrapped with 1/4" Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.

The side piece is Rich Razzleberry card stock that's wheeled in coordinating ink with the Betsy's Blooms Stampin' Around Wheel. I finished off the card with a Itty Bitty Banners sentiment die-cut with the matching Bitty Banners Framelits.

Betsy - thank you 2  Betsy - thank you circle punched

I know how some of you have a big aversion to cutting out images (you know who you are!), so on this version, I used the 1/2" Circle Punch and the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack to punch out the small blossoms.  Works like a charm!  You could also use the 1" Circle Punch for the large flower.

Come and create your own Betsy's Blossoms card with me on Thursday!
