Etcetera Masculine Cards & Delivery Service Changes

Hi Stamping Friends!

Over the past few weeks it's become apparent that Feedburner is unable to consistently deliver my blog posts to my email subscribers, so I'm changing my delivery service.  Today, I have converted to MailChimp and imported all of my current subscribers.

No Need To Do A Thing!  If you are already subscribed, you shouldn't need to do a thing to continue receiving my posts in your inbox.  In fact, many of you may be seeing my emails again for the first time in a LONG time, since Feedburner has not been delivering correctly for who knows how long!  If you aren't subscribed, and would like to receive updates via your email inbox every time I have new content, simply enter your email address in the box on the left-hand column.

Excerpt-Only Emails Are Temporary—I'm having some trouble getting my blog posts to appear correctly when I try to show the full content in the emails.  Therefore, I'll temporarily be sending only excerpts of my blog posts, and you'll have to click to read the full post.  Hang in there…I'm working with MailChimp support to get this rectified as soon as possible.

You may see some weird things happening around here as we get things figured out.  Thank you so much for your patience!  Hopefully, we'll get everything working smoothly very soon!

Request Your Catalog!  If you would like a copy of the new 2014-2015 Annual Catalog, and you are not already being served by another demonstrator, please email a request to me and I'll be happy to get one to you as soon as they are available!  If you're local, I will also have catalogs available to pick up at all my events, or at your convenience, beginning May 8, 2014.

Etcetera patterns - two cool

Today's project is the final one from my April "Last Thursdays" class.  I thought the contrasting colors and bold patterns were perfect for a masculine graduation or birthday card.

Bold Backgrounds—This card is quick & easy!  I used some fun patterns from the soon-to-retire Etcetera Designer Series Paper: the chevron pattern measures 5-1/2" x 1-3/4" and the polka dot pattern is 5-1/2" x 2-1/4".  I adhered them onto a Night of Navy card base with some of the card showing on the top and bottom edges.

Denim Bow—I finally got a chance to use the cute Denim Jean Ribbon (so manly) before it retires.  It's tied around the card front into a double-knot and trimmed to look like a bow (not very manly).

Fun Phrases—I stamped the retiring Perfectly Penned sentiment in Night of Navy onto a piece of 3-1/4" x 1-1/4" Very Vanilla card stock.  It's matted on a 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Tangerine Tango, then popped over the ribbon with Dimensionals.

Terrific Triangles—I wanted some contrasting accents, so I added triangles from the Geometrical stamp set.  They are stamped in Night of Navy onto Pool Party card stock, then punched with the coordinating Triangle Punch.

Boys Like Bling, Too—I added some Rhinestone Jewels to each of the triangles, then one of the retiring Large Rhinestones on the sentiment layer for some bling balance.

Vertical Version—I used all of the same elements on a second version, this time using the birthday greeting.  I also moved the patterned paper out to the edges and adhered only a strip of Denim Jean Ribbon down the center with Sticky Strip.  No bows on this one, dude!
