It was a very small Too Cool Demo Team meeting for May, but we still saw plenty of fabulous projects created by Carmen DeBruce! Here is a sampling…
The paper flowers are made with layers of the Scallop Circle Punch with slits cut all the way around to make petals. Flower centers are from the Boho Blossoms Punch and leaves are from the Bird Punch.
Layers of the Daisies #2 die-cuts are used for this flower. Check out the fuzzy center! Carmen used the Distressing Tool from the Cutting Tool Kit on Early Espresso cardstock, gathered up the fuzzy remnants, then adhered them with Tombow Multipurpose Glue (or Crystal Effects). I recently saw another card using this effect to create the look of a tennis ball.
Carmen also showed us this beautiful mum embellishment she made. It's smaller than it probably looks on screen (about 2" diameter). She used two medium flowers from the Blossom Party die and two of the flowers from the Boho Blossoms Punch. You could also use the medium flower from the Daisies #2 die for the bottom layers.
The really amazing thing is that she scored each petal down the center! Wow! But, man that sure makes it look like a real mum! Too Cool!
I'm enjoying the Pear Pizzazz and Black combination tremendously! Carmen used the Sail Away single stamp with the Curly Cute greeting. The inside features the Top Note die-cut for the writing space (it's the perfect shape for the inside of any card!). The anchor image is from The Open Sea.
Here's a super-cute Owl Punch gift card holder for your grad! Oh, isn't he just darling?! And, you could dress him up in any school's colors. The card holder is made from the Two Tags Die. She CASEd this one from Frenchie Stamps…see the Grad Owl Gift Card Holder post for a video tutorial.
Here's another gift card holder using the same tutorial from Frenchie. This one uses the Crazy For Cupcakes stamp set.
Carmen used a similar design on a money holder, too! It's also a CASE from Frenchie and you can see that tutorial here. Very nice!
These cute mini cards were inspired by Dawn Griffth's April Thank You Cards. They are mini Tri-Fold Pocket Cards created with the new Beyond The Garden Designer Series Paper. Adorable!
