On today's Dove of Hope pair of cards, I'm not featuring a dove at all! The little ornament image from the set makes the perfect focal point on these sweet little cards!
Background Basics—This card begins by embossing a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Real Red cardstock with the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder and adhering it to a Real Red card base. I added a 5-1/4" x 1-1/4" piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock along the bottom, then tied a Poppy Parade ribbon from the All The Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack around the card front. Ornament Trio—I die-cut a scalloped rectangle in Whisper White using the Stitched So Sweetly dies, then stamped the Dove of Hope ornament three times across the top in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped the Dove of Hope sentiment along the bottom in Real Red. The ornaments are colored in with Stampin' Blends Markers in Real Red, Just Jade and Pretty Peacock. I layered the rectangle onto a 3-3/4" x 2-5/8" piece of Just Jade and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I brushed some Wink of Stella glimmer onto the ornaments, then topped each of them with a Red Rhinestone jewel. Perfect!
Two Cool—The second version starts with a Pretty Peacock textured background and card base, an Old Olive panel and Old Olive All The Trimmings Ribbon.
This time I colored the ornaments with Old Olive, Real Red and Pretty Peacock Blends and layered the scalloped rectangle onto a Real Red piece.
