Cute & Yummy Downline Swaps

My Too Cool Demo Team met last week and I wanted to share the swaps I received.

Awash With Flowers - Michelle swap

The first one was created by Michelle Hoover using the Awash With Flowers set.  I love the technique she used.  She embossed the images with Black Embossing Powder on Vellum Paper (she would have rather used Vellum Card Stock, she said, so it didn't warp as much).  Then she colored the images on the reverse side with ink and a Blender Pen.  So pretty!  The background is embossed with the Elegant Lines Impression Folder.  Notice that she also shortened the Word Window Punch so it would fit on a Curly Label Punch layer.

Colors: Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black.  Other supplies: Black 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Neutrals Brads.

Friends Never Fade - Darla

Darla Eigenschink used the Friends Never Fade stamp set with matching Greenhouse Gala DSP.  I can't get enough of this pairing and she did a fantastic job with it!

Colors Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz and Early Expresso.  Other supplies: White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Trim Border Punch.

And, Carmen DeBruce surprised us with her swap.  She had hoped it was OK that she didn't make a card…

Homemade - Carmen apple pie

Mmmmm!  It was a freshly baked apple pie in a jar!  Yummy-in-the-tummy!  We forgave her for not doing a card.  (I'll take this moment to apologize to the swap participants who could not attend…you missed out, ladies!  Sorry, I couldn't save one for you!)

What a cute idea for a gift!  Carmen assured us that the recipe for this single-serving pie was easy as, well, pie!  She adorned the jar with retired Melon Mambo Polka Dot ribbon and the new individual Homemade stamp.  It coordinates with the Scallop Circle Punch, too!

Homemade is one of those a la carte stamps at the front of the catalog that get overlooked (see page 18).  I never think to purchase them, but since receiving one in my Convention bag, and seeing some of the cool things you can make with a single (and inexpensive) stamp, I think I'll have to take another look.

Thanks so much for sharing your swaps, ladies!

Angie
