My upcoming Earthen Textures LIVE Class is all about lovely layers, rich colors and terrific textures! You'll definitely want to get the Earthen Textures Bundle for this class, because you'll want to be able to use the stamps and dies to experiment with different layers of pots and foliage! So much fun!
I designed this glass to showcase the bundle, as well as the Earthen Elegance DSP and shiny Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins. I also wanted to give you some looks that were outside of the Earthen Elegance Suite, so my "two cool" versions focus on the pretty Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper and beautiful combinations of blues!
Background Basics—The background of this card begins with a 3-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Earthen Elegance DSP in a Pebbled Path pattern adhered to the top of a 3-3/4" x 5" Gray Granite cardstock layer. The bottom has a strip of 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" Pretty Peacock piece of Earthen Elegance DSP. I finished by attaching a strip of Copper Clay Textured Ribbon across the seam and securing the ends to the back. It's mounted onto a Pebbled Path card base.
Pretty Pots—I love when I can mix & match different elements and the Earthen Textures Bundle allows you to do SO MUCH mixing and matching! I started by die-cutting a Pecan Pie tall pot and a Gray Granite small pot. I trimmed off the top of the Pecan Pie one to make it a little shorter, then ran it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the wavy texture die from the Earthen Textures Dies. Oooooh! Look at the awesome embossed look! Next, I die-cut a Gray Granite handle and adhered it to the top of the pot. For the smaller pot, I stamped on it with the Earthen Textures image in Pebbled Path.
Beautiful Branches—The tall pot has a Pretty Peacock cardstock leafy die-cut, a Copper Clay twig die-cut and a Gray Granite branch stamped onto Basic White and die-cut. They are assembled and adhered to the back of the pot, then the whole thing was popped up with Dimensionals. The small pot has one Earthen Textures feathering leaves images stamped in Pecan Pie ink onto Basic White and die-cut. It's adhered to the pot and popped up, too.
Finishing Touches—I stamped an Earthen Textures sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink onto a 2-3/8" x 1/2" piece of Basic Whie and adhered that across the pots with SEAL Adhesive. I finished with a few copper colored Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins. Just beautiful!
Two Cool—Peggy Tassler created my "two cool" version using beautiful blues and the Countryside Inn DSP! She kept the layout the same and I love how different it looks, yet equally pretty! She started with two patterns of Countryside Inn DSP adhered to a Misty Moonlight layer, then wrapped with some Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon. It's mounted onto a Balmy Blue card base.
Pretty Pots—Peggy kept the full tall pot shape (no trimming), this time in Balmy Blue with Misty Moonlight handles. Did you notice that she embossed the handles, too? The smaller pot is die-cut from Boho Blue and stamped with Misty Moonlight ink.
Fantastic Foliage—Peggy's tall pot includes a Night of Navy cardstock die-cut leaf, a Boho Blue cardstock die-cut twig and a Misty Moonlight stamped branch. The smaller pot has a Balmy Blue stamped feathery leaves.
Finishing Touches—She stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and finished the card with a few Boho Blue In Color Dots. LOVE IT!
