Frosted Floral Happy Birthday Cards
This. Paper. Is. So. Beautiful! I wanted to create a card that showcased some of the gorgeous, shimmery pearlescent patterns and I love how this birthday card turned out. One of the awesome things about this paper is that it's "frosted" with some wintery foliage patterns for the holidays, but it can be used well into spring!
Background Basics—This card starts with a 4-1/4" x 11" Mint Macaron card base, scored at 5-1/2". Next, I cut several strips from of Frosted Floral DSP: 4-1/4" x 1" MInt Macaron berry branch, two 4-1/4" x 3/4" strips of Blackberry Bliss dots, and 4-1/4" x 3" panel of the pretty floral. I adhered them as shown onto the card base with SNAIL adhesive.
Finishing Touches—I wrapped some Gray Granite 1/2" Texture Weave Ribbon around the card front and tied it into a double-knot. Next, I stamped the Perennial Birthday sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink onto a 3-1/2" x 7/8" piece of Whisper White, fishtail cut one end and popped it up with Dimensionals. DONE! So easy and lovely!
Two Cool—On my second card, I started with a Night of Navy card base and added a different combination of Frosted Floral patterns. There are so many and they all coordinate splendidly! It features these papers: a 4-1/4" x 1" strip of Tranquil Tide leaves, two 4-1/4" x 3/4" strips of Soft Suede stripes, and 4-1/4" x 3" panel of the other pretty floral. LOVE it!
