Are you ready for a super-easy gift card holder that is also super-cute?  I found just the project!  This time it is from Libby Fens at LibbyStamps.

Oh, I'm in love with this Santa!  It's reminiscent of the Santa Cello Topper that I showed you a while back.  Cute, cute, cute!

Santa gift card holder - parts

Here are all the parts and pieces you'll need:

  • 1 Blushing Bride Clear Circle Die – 4-1/4" x 8-1/2" folded in half and cut with fold showing
  • 1 Blushing Bride Clear Circle Die – for half circle card holder
  • 1 Riding Hood Red Clear Circle Die – for half circle hat, embossed with Petals-a-Plenty Folder
  • 1 Scallop Circle Die – half, embossed with Snow Burst Impressions Folder for beard
  • 1 Whisper White strip – 4-1/2" x 1-1/2" torn into hat rim
  • 1 Silver Glimmer 1-1/4" Circle Punch – for hat
  • 1 Riding Hood Red 3/4" Circle Punch – for nose
  • 2 Black 1/2" Circle Punches – for eyes

Create the base of the card by die-cutting a folded piece of Blushing Bride with the Clear Circle Die leaving a small part of the fold uncut.

Add the hat and beard, with just a small 1-1/4" strip of Blushing Bride showing through.

Next tear around the Whisper White strip and adhere on the hat.

Finally, add the ball for the hat, eyes and nose with Dimensionals.

I sponged his beard with some Frost White Shimmer Paint to make it glisten, too!

The inside of the gift card holder is a really tight fit, so I added two small strips of Sticky Strip to the sides, then a small dab of Multipurpose Glue to the very edge of the bottom, just so the card wouldn't fall out.

You could skip the pocket and simply make it a card, or a gift tag for a large present from Santa Claus, because I'm sure that Santa does papercrafting, right?  (Or, at least his elves do…!).  LOL!
