Elegant Vanilla & Granite Shimmer Laser-Cut Cards
I LOVE creating cards that are elegant in style and I love it even more when they are quick & easy to assemble! I created these gorgeous cards in about 10 minutes! They are so shimmery and beautiful in person…I think they would make excellent wedding or anniversary cards with a change in sentiment.
Background Basics—I started with a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I trimmed out a piece of the Shimmer Detail Laser-Cut Specialty DSP that fit over the background piece and adhered it to the cardstock by sponging Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the back. After I trimmed off any excess laser-cut DSP flush with the edges, I layered it onto a 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" piece of Gray Granite cardstock.
I tied some Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim around the layers before mounting them onto a Thick Very Vanilla card base.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Beauty Abounds greeting in Gray Granite ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock, then die-cut it with the smallest Stitched Nested Labels die and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I stamped the small Beauty Abounds butterfly in Gray Granite ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock, die-cut it with the coordinating Butterfly Beauty dies and popped it up onto the card front. I also die-cut two tiny Gray Granite butterflies with the same die set and adhered them with Multipurpose Glue onto the sentiment and background. I finished by brushing on some Wink of Stella glimmer onto the butterflies and over the top of the greeting word itself.
Two Cool—I used the same basic card design with an opposite color combination on the second card. This time the Shimmer Laser-Cut DSP was layered onto Gray Granite cardstock and matted onto Very Vanilla.
This time I wrapped some Gray Granite Texture Weave Ribbon around the layers and secured the ends before mounting them onto the Gray Granite card base.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Butterfly Gala sentiment in Gray Granite onto Very Vanilla cardstock and die-cut with the Stitched Shapes dies. It's popped up over the ribbon with Dimensionals. I attached all of the little butterflies on the circle this time—how darling!
