Jodi's Blossoming Basket Emboss Resist Card

I love the unique look of this Blossoming Basket card created by Jodi Geers. It's so different than other cards I've seen with this stamp set. She used one of my favorite techniques—emboss resist!

Background Basics—Jodi started by stamping the splatter image from Awesomely Artistic with Wild Wasabi ink and the splatter image from Touches of Texture in Lemon Lime Twist diagonally across a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. She adhered a 2-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock to the right side of the card front on a Berry Burst card base, then adhered the stamped background over the top.

Embossed Blossoms—For the focal point, Jodi stamped the Blossoming Basket image in VersaMark ink several times onto a 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White layer. She sprinkled the ink with White Embossing Powder, then heat-set the images with a Heat Tool until glossy & smooth. Next, she used Sponge Daubers to add Berry Burst, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist and Wild Wasabi ink over the basket images. She wiped the images with a tissue to clean up the resisted ink and make the white embossed images pop!

Butterfly Accents—Jodi stamped the mini butterfly images from the Blossoming Basket set onto Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist card stock in VersaMark and white embossed those, too. She hand-cut them out with Paper Snips and popped them up with Mini Dimensionals. So cute!

Sweet Sentiment—Finally, Jodi stamped the Blossoming Basket sentiment in Berry Burst ink onto a 2-1/2" x 5/8" strip of Whisper White, then fishtail cut the end. It's layered onto a 3/4" wide strip of Berry Burst cardstock that's fishtailed to match. The sentiment layer is popped up with Dimensionals.

Jeanie's Shimmery Blossoming Basket Card

Jeanie Ham shared this pretty Blossoming Basket card at our team swap. I love the way she colored the flowers and added some shimmery goodness!

Background Basket Basics—Jeanie's card starts with a 3-3/4" x 5" layer of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock mounted onto a 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Whisper White. Both layers are adhered to a Rich Razzleberry card base.

Sweet Sentiment—Jeanie stamped the Blossoming Basket sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 2-3/4" x 3/4" strip of Whisper White. It's popped up with Dimensionals and adorned with Rhinestone Jewels.

Beautiful Basket—The Blossoming basket image was stamped in Memento Black ink onto a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" square of Whisper White, then Jeanie colored it with Stampin' Blends Markers. She used the Rich Razzleberry markers for the flowers, Old Olive markers for the leaves and Crumb Cake markers for the basket. I love how she colored the two-tone look of the basket! So fun! She finished by coloring over the blooms with the Wink of Stella shimmer pen…wow! You can use the Envelope Punch Board to get the rounded corners on this layer. She also added a knot of Whisper White Organza Ribbon with a Glue Dot for a pretty accent.
