The Evergreen Elegance stamp set from the Annual Catalog is perfect for making a lovely, traditional holiday cards. I created these cards with a simple and pretty design that would be easy to duplicate for making a whole stack of holiday greetings!
Background Basics—I began by embossing a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Soft Succulent cardstock with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder. It perfectly matches this stamp set! I added a strip of the Evening Evergreen Chevron Weave Ribbon around that layer, securing the ends to the back before mounting it onto a Soft Succulent card base.
Scallop Layer—I stamped the Evergreen Elegance pine bough image in Evening Evergreen ink along the top and bottom of a 3-1/4" x 1-7/8" piece of Basic White cardstock. It's adhered to a Merry Merlot Scalloped Coutours die-cut and popped up with Dimensionals onto the card front. Next, I stamped the Evergreen Elegance sentiment in Merry Merlot ink onto a 4-1/4" x 3/4" strip of Basic White. To flag the ends, I used the Banners Pick A Punch! This is a cool punch that will punch out two different styles of banner ends for strips that are either 1/2", 3/4" or 1" wide. (In the video, I called it the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch, which is incorrect for this project, but is another cool double punch that creates fancy ends for the three different size strips!)
I popped up the sentiment with more Dimensionals, then added a few Merry Merlot Holiday Rhinestones around the pine needles.
Two Cool—The second card has a Basic White Evergreen Forest textured background on a Thick Basic White card base.
Sweet Sentiment Layers—This time I layered the pine bough stamped layer onto a Basic White Scalloped Contours die-cut, then adhered a short strip of Evening Evergreen Ribbon across that. The sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake ink this time and finished with Shaded Spruce Holiday Rhinestones. So elegant!
