No matter how you decorate it, this gift card holder is a fun style that has an extra "Too Cool" factor! As you open it, the gift card pocket pulls up to reveal the gift card! Best of all, it's super-easy to replicate for any holiday or special occasion!
Background Basics—The Night of Navy card base is essentially a vertical gate-fold measuring 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at the 3-1/4" and 8-3/4" markers. I decorated the top flap with a 4" x 3" piece of the Everything Is Rosy Designer Series Paper floral pattern. The bottom flap has a 4" x 2" Everything Is Rosy striped pattern.
Gift Card Pocket—I embossed a 4" x 1/2" piece of Rose Gold Foil with the Subtle embossing folder, then adhered it to the bottom of the card. Then, I created a pocket for the gift card by tying Melon Mambo Ruched Ribbon around the entire card base into a double-knot. No adhesive is needed to secure the pocket.
Gift Card Inside Slider Pocket—The inside features a 3-3/4" x 7" piece of Whisper White, scored at the 1/2" and 5" marks. The larger panel folds toward the front and tucks inside the pocket. I stamped an Everything Is Rosy sentiment at the top of this panel in Night of Navy. Most of the greeting is hidden inside the pocket when the card is closed, then as you open it, the sentiment & pocket slides up to reveal it in its entirety.
The 1/2" score line folds back and is attached to the backside of the card front, just above the fold line. I used Tear & Tape Adhesive for a secure hold and burnished this well to help the card front lay flat.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Everything Is Rosy sentiment in Night of Navy onto a Whisper White Layering Circles die-cut. I added Everything Is Rosy flowers in stamped-off Melon Mambo with Night of Navy stamped centers. The circle is adhered to a Rose Gold scallop circle created with the Layering Circles dies and it's popped up with Dimensionals. I positioned the circle to overlap the bottom of the card, so the Dimensionals are only under the top part of the circle. I finished by die-cutting a Rose Gold Foil leafy branch and adhered it with Multipurpose Glue onto the circle. I love how the branch spills over onto the card front.
Two Cool—My second version also starts with a Night of Navy card base, but I decorated it with different patterns of Everything Is Rosy DSP.
Floral Stamping—This time, I stamped the sentiment and flowers onto a Layering Ovals shape. I love the addition of the leaves on this larger focal point!
