I thought it would fun to show how you can use the Trendy Trees stamp set through the seasons! This little set packs a lot of punch! It can be used for all sorts of occasions—birthday, thinking of you, sympathy, masculine birthdays—tree stamps are very versatile that

We'll start off this two-part series with Spring and Summer…
Spring Trendy Trees Window Card
It's Spring! The trees are in bloom with flowers and leaves are unfolding a little more every day! What better time is there to make a purple tree?! (I always like an excuse to use purple!) I started with the Tea Party Designer Series Paper to provide the color palette: Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst, So Saffron and Regal Rose. Some of you may remember this card from my workshops last year at this time.
Card Window Details: Window cards give you a sneak peek of what's inside the card, but this one kind of gives you a peek "outside!" After I covered my card front with So Saffron and decorative paper, then used the 1-1/4" Circle Punch (coming in from the side) to create the window. It was easy to get the tree aligned in the window, just stamp the leaves through the window with the card closed, then open it and use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to add the tree trunk.
Create a round window frame by first punching a 1-1/4" Circle from a piece of Regal Rose, then center that punched hole inside the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. (Always punch the small circle then the larger circle to create any size ring) I used the 2-way Glue Pen to attach it.
I used the Funky Forest Stampin' Around Wheel with Certainly Celery to add a matching border. It would have looked nice as a border for the inside, too, but I chose to add some colorful trees instead.
We're just getting warmed up…time for Summer!
Summer Trendy Trees Sweet Pea Card
When I need a quick and easy card, I like to pull out some Designer Series Paper…in this case, it's the Sweet Pea Paper Stack from the Mini Catalog (available through April 30). There are several designs in the Stack that use the same tree images (and, look…they aren't afraid to have teal trees). I thought the deeper Old Olive and Taken With Teal colors looked bright and "summery."
Roll on a line of Funky Forest trees, then add a sentiment from the Chat Room Rub Ons sheet, and this makes for one fast card!
