I really liked the look of dry embossing on Brushed Silver card stock that I posted yesterday. So, when I was looking for a simple Father's Day card for an upcoming workshop, I wanted to use the technique again!
I accomplished several of my workshop project goals with this project…1) use up some of my retiring colors (Ruby Red and Brocade Blue), 2) feature one of the stamp sets in the May Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking promotion (Extreme Elements), and keep it simple, without a lot of embellishments or techniques (which you know is not always easy for me).
Card Details: Extreme Elements stamps with Brocade Blue and Sahara Sand inks. Well-Scripted (no longer available) sentiment in Basic Black. First card uses Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plates and Square Lattice Impressions Folder for dry embossed panels. Second card uses Texture Plates Kit #4 and Perfect Polka Dot Impressions Folder. Embellished with Clear Rhinestones Brads.
