In The Pines Foil Tree Christmas Card
Traditional Christmas colors with a very elegant feel! I'm loving the look of the Green Foil behind the In The Pines die-cut window image. BEAUTIFUL! Print out the tutorial linked above for all of the printable measurements.
Background Basics—Emboss a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder, then mount onto a vertically-folded 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Thick Whisper White, scored and folded at the 5-1/2" mark.
Foil Focal Point—Die-cut the Pine Woods Dies tree window from a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White. Add a 2-1/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Green Foil behind the window, along with a small scrap of Early Espresso cardstock behind the tree trunk. Layer onto a 2-7/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Real Red cardstock with SEAL adhesive and then onto a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock with Dimensionals. It's mounted onto the card front with SEAL.
Sweet Sentiment—Stamp the greeting from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set in Real Red ink onto Whisper White, then hand-cut and adhere over the tree.
Finishing Touches—Die-cut a small Gold Foil star with the Happy Dies and adhere to the top of the tree. Finish by adding lots of Red Rhinestone Jewels as tree ornaments. Gorgeous!
Connie's In The Pines Brushed Metallic Pine Card
This lovely card, created the Connie Ingram, has the same foil tree window, this time using the Copper Brushed Metallic Foil. Oooh…so wonderful!
Background Basics—Connie's card begins with a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper layered onto a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Mossy Meadow and then a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake. She wrapped some of the Very Vanilla gauzy ribbon from the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo Pack around the layers, securing the ends on the back. The layers were then mounted onto an Early Espresso card base.
Pretty Pine—Connie die-cut the Pine Woods tree window onto a 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Mossy Meadow, then snipped the corners with a 1-1/2" Circle Punch. She backed the window with a 2" x 3-1/4" piece of the copper Brushed Metallic cardstock, then popped it up onto the card front with Dimensionals. Next she stamped the Itty Bitty Christmas greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 1-5/8" x 3/8" piece of Crumb Cake and adhered it over the trunk. She finished with a single Champagne Rhinestone at the top of the tree.
