Hi Stamping Friends!

I had a fantastic weekend and I hope you did, too!  On Saturday, I enjoyed seeing many of my stamping friends at the Deer Ridge Holly Days craft fair.  Thank you to everyone who came out to support me and do a little early Christmas shopping!

We had absolutely gorgeous weather on Sunday, so I thoroughly enjoyed a spending time with my husband, along with a 28-mile bike ride, some yard work and some car-karaoke with the windows rolled down!  It was a much-needed day away from stamping!

Now, it's back to work and time to play a little catch-up.  I've had to do a little adjusting to the class schedule to make it all work…

Important Info on Upcoming Classes:

"Last Thursdays" Class—YES, our class is still happening this Thursday, October 26, at 6:30pm!  I haven't designed all of the projects yet…but you know they'll be Too Cool!  You can register for the class here: "Last Thursdays" Card Class Registration

Stamp-of-the-Month Class Stamp Set Change—November's featured stamp set will be changed to Night in Bethlehem by popular request!  I had listed Merry Little Labels as the stamp for November, and as much as I hate changing the schedule, I think the Night in Bethlehem will be a much more exciting class!  I've seen SO MANY awesome cards made with it and I can't wait to play with it myself!  I'll be opening up registration for this class later this week: Register by November 5. Mails November 10.

Countdown To Christmas November Kit Only—November's featured stamp set is Snowflake Sentiments. This will be a Class-To-Go kit only with no local class. Register by November 13. Mails November 20.

Peggy - fancy foil coffee break

Peggy's Coffee Happiness Foil Frenzy Card

I love the colorful foil patterns in the Foil Frenzy Designer Series Paper and two of our team members featured that paper for their team swaps this month.  Peggy Tassler combined the Soft Sky dotted pattern with the Coffee Café stamp set and I love it!

Background Basics—Peggy layered the 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" Foil Frenzy DSP onto a 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" Early Espresso layer, then mounted that onto a Soft Sky card base.  She created a foundation for the coffee cup with a 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Bundle of Love Designer Series Paper layered onto a 2-5/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Early Espresso.

Coffee Cup Front—Peggy stamped the Coffee Café cup outline in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla, then stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake inside the cup and die-cut the shape with the Coffee Cup Builder Framelits.  She stamped the sentiment one more time in Early Espresso onto Soft Sky card stock, then hand-cut the three words and mounted onto the front to highlight them.  How fun!  The cup is popped up with Dimensionals.
Coffee Cup Accents—The cup is filled with whipped topping, stamped in Crumb Cake onto Very Vanilla card stock, die-cut and popped up with Dimensionals.  The straw image is stamped in Early Espresso and die-cut with the Framelits, too.  Peggy also stamped a few coffee beans in Early Espresso, die-cut them and added them for cute accents!  She finished off the card with a Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon bow, attached with a Glue Dot.  A great card, Peggy!

Marsha's At Home With You Watercolor Fall Card
Marsha Henry also featured the Foil Frenzy and Bundle of Love Designer Series Papers on her swap card for a totally different look!  She chose to add a sweet autumn image from the At Home With You stamp set.
Background Basics—Marsha kept the background simple beginning with a 3" x 4" foil Bundle of Love mounted onto the Very Vanilla card base.  She added a 5-1/4" x 1" banner of the Tangerine Tango chevron Foil Frenzy DSP as the foundation for her image.  A bow of Jute Twine was added with a Glue Dot.

Watercolored Focal Point—Marsha stamped the image from At Home With You in Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla card stock, then die-cut it with the At Home Framelits.  Her watercoloring on this image is AMAZING!  It looks like she used Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen to beautifully color and shade everything, leaving lots of white space for highlights!  I love that look!  She used Pumpkin Pie for the pumpkins, Bermuda Bay & Daffodil Delight for the vase, Old Olive for the leaves and Real Red & Daffodil Delight for the flowers. It's popped up with Dimensionals. Nicely done, Marsha!
