Painted harvest thankful cards - two cool

Painted Harvest Thankful For You Cards

You don't need a lot of flashy embellishments, special tools, or die-cuts on a card stamped with the gorgeous images in the Painted Harvest set.  I love that the stamping stands alone to create a beautiful card!  Best of all, the card comes together in just minutes!  If you don't have this stamp set…what are you waiting for?!!

Supplies to create these cards are included in my Painted Harvest Stamp-of-the-Month class kit!  Order it today only!

Sensational Sunflowers—Everything for this card is stamped on a 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" piece of Whisper White card stock.  I started by stamping the sentiment in Early Espresso so that I could easily position the flowers around it.

I stamped the flowered background in this order:
  • Stamp the Painted Harvest detailed flower stamp in Tangerine Tango in three areas. I usually keep them in the shape of a triangle, a design that's balanced and pleasing to the eye.
  • Stamp the larger flower image in Crushed Curry over the top of the detailed image twice.  Stamp it once, then ink again, rotate 180° and stamp again.  This really fills out the flower.
  • Stamp the flower center in Soft Suede ink.
  • Stamp some leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink coming in from the edges.
  • Stamp some dots in Crumb Cake to fill in the blank areas.

Burlap Bow—I wrapped a couple of strands from the Burlap Ribbon around the card and adhered the ends to the back.  Then I tied a separate bow with a couple more strands of burlap and attaching it over the threads with a Glue Dot.

Assembly—I mounted a 3-3/4" x 5" Early Espresso layer a little offset, just for fun, onto a Pear Pizzazz card base, then mounted the stamped layer over the top with Dimensionals.  I love that look!

Two Cool—For my second version, I stamped the flowers in Berry Burst for the detailed layer and Flirty Flamingo for the two fuller layers.  Every other element is the same.

This time, I mounted the stamped layer onto the mat straight and wrapped the burlap threads around both layers, then popped both layers up with Dimensionals.
