First Frost Wishing You All The Best Cards

Hi Stamping Friends!

Today, I'm sharing another pair of cards from the First Frost Class-To-Go Kit!  A few weeks ago, I shared a card that Peggy Tassler created with this pretty set and I liked it so much that I CASEd her design for this class.  So, if the cards looks familiar, I've already posted a card that's similar to the Gray Granite one below.  The kit also has a "two cool" version in Mint Macaron.  Both are SO beautiful, especially with that Frosted Floral pearlescent Designer Series Paper!

First frost wishing you the best - two cool

First Frost Wishing You All The Best Cards

I'm so impressed with the Floral Frost Specialty DSP!  The gorgeous pearlescent finish offers a lovely sheen not only on the colorful floral side, but also on the more subtle one-color side!  That sheen gives an extra-special elegance to the single color patterns.  Ooohh…they look so rich and glamorous!

These cards could be used for numerous occasions like birthdays, weddings, retirement and more!

Background Basics—This card begins by embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mint Macaron cardstock with the Subtle Texture Impressions Folder.  I adhered a 4" x 2" coordinating Mint Macaron Frosted Floral piece along the bottom.  I added a strip of Tranquil Tide 1/4" Velvet Ribbon across the edge of the DSP with Tear & Tape Adhesive, trimming the ends flush to the cardstock edge. The layers were adhered to a Night of Navy card base.

Fantastic Foliage—I used the coordinating Frosted Bouquet Framelits to die-cut some Tranquil Tide leaves and Galvanized Metallic Paper branches to create a foundation for the flowers.  I adhered the foliage with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Beautiful Bouquet—The card background is neutral enough that you could add many color combinations of flowers to your bouquet and have it look fantastic.  I went with Blackberry Bliss for the large First Floral flowers and Night of Navy and Blushing Bride for the smaller flowers.  They are all stamped onto Whisper White cardstock and die-cut with the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.  Remember that there are two of the small flower dies, so you can achieve larger bouquets in half the time!  I adhered the flowers with Dimensionals.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the First Frost sentiment onto a 2" x 3/4" strip of Mint Macaron, cutting a fishtail on one end and popping it up with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—I added a few silver Metallic Pearls floating around the bouquet.  I love how the pearls coordinate with the Galvanized Metallic branches.

Two Cool—I CASEd Peggy's card that I blogged about here, changing just a few details.  Both cards feature a Gray Granite background on a Merry Merlot card base.

I added a Mint Macaron small flower to the Merry Merlot and Blushing Bride flowers.  I also changed the First Frost sentiment from her original, stamping this one in Tranquil Tide on a strip of Gray Granite and popping it up.

Whichever color combo you like best, I know you'll enjoy creating these two cards from the First Frost Class-To-Go Kit!
