I just adore this beautiful, fun-fold card! From it’s gorgeous colors, to the fun textures, to the cool paper-pieced die-cut layers, to the peek-a-boo Z-Fold layout…it’s a winner!

I started with Blackberry Bliss cardstock measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at the 2-1/8″ mark, then flipped over and scored at the 4-1/4″ mark. I folded the front of the card back at the score line to create a Z-Fold style card base. TIP: Be sure to use the very tip of your Bone Folder to crease and burnish the score lines, so that they will lay flatter.

I adhered a 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Floral Charm Designer Series Paper onto the front folded-back flap. Next, I embossed a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Petunia Pop cardstock with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder and adhered to the inside of the card.

I stamped a Charming Day sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink onto a Basic White Stylish Shapes large square die-cut. Then, I stamped the Charming Day leaves image in Pecan Pie ink randomly over the rest of the square. It’s mounted onto a 3″ x 3″ piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock, then popped up with Dimensionals onto the back-folded card front only.

For the focal point element, I die-cut the large Charming Day floral in both the Pecan Pie and Basic White cardstock. I trimmed all the leaves and extra flower from the Basic White layer, leaving just the two blooms. Using a Blending Brush, I added some Bubble Bath ink to the flowers using a light, circular motion. I finished by adding a little Berry Burst ink with a Sponge Dauber to the center of the blooms.

I trimmed the third flower from the Pecan Pie die-cut layer, then adhered the colored blooms onto this layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. It’s attached to the square on the card with more Liquid Glue.

I added a few Iridescent Foil Gems around the focal point for a little sparkle. The foil inside these gems matches the Pecan Pie “gold” tones and the iridescent colors pick up the Petunia Pop color so well. Perfectly coordinated!

There are a couple of ways you could add a message area to the inside. I chose to die-cut a second Basic White Stylish Shapes square to hide behind the focal point. I love this peek-a-boo style element! Or, you could simply create a 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Basic White to adhere behind the z-fold card front.

To add even more interest, I stamped a Charming Day flower in Memento Black Ink onto Basic White scrap, then colored it in with Pecan Pie, Bubble Bath and Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blends Markers. I die-cut it for a beautiful, eye-catching inside element. Just another reminder to take some extra time to dress up the inside of the card, as well, to take the card to another level. Wow!
