Floral Impressions Class Card #1

Stampin’ Up! has done it again with an amazing flower-themed suite! The Floral Impressions Suite boasts wonderfully watercolored wildflower images on the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper, along with a coordinating two-step Impressions Abloom Bundle that helps you create beautiful blooming bouquets!

Background Basics

I started with a vertically-folded card measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at the 5-1/2″ mark. I adhered a 4-1/4″ x 2″ piece of Floral Impressions DSP to a 4-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock and mounted it at the bottom of the card front. Next, I stamped some Impressions Abloom leaves in Daffodil Delight ink onto the card front, so that the images would peek out from behind the focal point.

Sweet Sentiment

I stamped the Impressions Abloom two-part sentiment in Pecan Pie ink at the bottom corner of the Basic White Nested Essentials die-cut label, then adhered it to the card front with SEAL Adhesive.

Floral Focal Point

Next, I stamped two Impressions Abloom flowers: stamped-off Calypso Coral detailed image, then stamped-off Daffodil Delight solid image over the top. I added a detailed flower center in Early Espresso ink, then filled it in with Crushed Curry solid center. I die-cut the blooms with the coordinating Impressions Abloom Dies and popped them up with Dimensionals onto the label.

I die-cut the three Garden Green leaves using the same dies and tucked those under the flowers with SEAL Adhesive. TIP: Those same “leaves” dies can be used for flowers, as well!

The Impressions Abloom sentiment was stamped in Petunia Pop ink onto a 1″ wide strip of Basic White. After being banner-cut on the edges, it was popped up over the focal point with more Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches

I tied the 1/4″ Basic White Ribbon around the card front into a double-knot faux bow. I finished by adding a few Petal Pink Low Profile Dots around the sentiment for some shine. So bright & cheery!
