The layout of this card looks familiar, but the opening has a little flip-back twist that was new to me. Maybe it’s new to you, too!

I began with a 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock, scored at the 3-1/4″ mark, then flipped over and scored at the 6-1/2″ mark. When you fold it, front panel folds toward the inside of the card and the little 1″ panel actually folds back. It will make sense in a minute…

I decorated the front with a 3″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Floral Impressions wildflower paper, then added a 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ strip of a Fresh Freesia pattern from the same DSP on the flip-back panel.

I stamped an Impressions Abloom sentiment in Blackberry Bliss onto Basic White cardstock, then punched it with the 2-3/8″ Circle Punch. It’s layered onto a Stylish Shapes Blackberry Bliss circle die-cut.

Next I used Dimensionals to attach the right edge of the circle to the flip-back panel only. Typically, I would adhere it to the front of the card, but this unique layout creates a fun closure for the card’s front. Too Cool!

I created all die-cut paper flowers for this card using the Impressions Abloom Dies. I have a medium flower with flower center in Timid Tiger, two smaller flowers and centers in Strawberry Slush and two “leaves” in Misty Moonlight. TIP: You can use the “leaves” dies to create little flowers, too!

After stamping all of the flower centers with Blackberry Bliss ink. I assembled the flowers and popped them up onto the circle. I added the leaves with Glue Dots, tucked under the blooms.

I tied some Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon around the card front and tied it into a double-knot for a faux-bow look. I finished by adding a few Textured Metallic Dots around the circle. These dots are now retired, but you could easily substitute with Pressed Flowers Motifs.
