Foxy Cat Circle Tri-Fold Card
The final card design from my Foxy Friends class features images that build a cute cat! And, the highlighted fun-fold is a cool circle that overlaps and extends through a unique tri-fold window. This is a fun card to make!
Too Cool Opening—When you open the top flap, you find that the circle peeks out through a circle window. It's a fun, unexpected element!
Open up the bottom flap and you have lots of room to decorate and write inside! Sweet! My 4" x 2-3/4" Whisper White inside piece is decorated with some Smoky Slate paw prints…awwww!
Create Your Own Extended Circle Tri-Fold Card
- Start with a standard vertical card base: 4-1/4" x 11".
- Score along the 11" side at 4-1/8" and 8-1/2".
- With the card fully open, position the 2-1/2" Layering Circles Framelits over the 8-1/2" score line so the fold is in the center of the circle, then run it through the Big Shot.
- Die-cut a Whisper White 2-1/2" Circle with the Layering Circles Framelits. After adding stamping to the circle…with the card folded closed, adhere the circle to the top of the card that shows through the semi-circle hole. I used Tear & Tape to keep it in place securely.
- Decorate!
Front Décor—I stamped the semi-circle of leaves image from the Foxy Friends stamp set in Calypso Coral along the bottom side of the punched window. Then, I added a 4-1/4" x 3/4" strip of Calypso Coral that had been embossed with the Festive Texture Impressions Folder along the bottom edge. Finally, I tied a Smoky Slate 1/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon around the card front in a double-knot and trimmed.
Foxy Kitty—I stamped the body of the cat in Smoky Slate onto a 2-1/2" Whisper White Circle shape. The cat's head was also stamped in Smoky Slate onto scrap Whisper White, then punched with the Fox Builder Punch. The face was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then the head was popped up with Dimensionals. Finally, I punched a little Silver Glimmer Paper heart with the Tree Builder Punch, for the cat to hold. It's adhered with a Glue Dot.
Sweet Sentiment—I added a 4-1/4" x 1-1/4" piece of A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper to a 4-1/4'x 1-1/2" piece of Pool Party card stock then adhered it to the bottom of the card front. The Bunch of Blossoms greeting was stamped on Whisper White, then punched out with the 1" Circle Punch. I adhered a 2" x 1/2" strip of Smoky Slate that I fishtailed on the ends to the card front, then popped up the sentiment with Dimensionals. I finished with a Rhinestone Jewel on each side.
