Texture Chic DSP Card Front Card
I love a good card layout that showcases the beautiful Designer Series Papers from Stampin' Up! and this is one of my go-to designs! I love that you can see the beautiful patterns on both sides of the DSP…perfect for when it is difficult to choose which side to use! I love both patterns on this piece of Texture Chic DSP and this style lets me enjoy both!
DSP Card Basics—This card begins with a 5-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Soft Suede, scored along the 5-1/4" side at the 4-1/4" mark. This leaves a skinny panel for the card front. Next, I cut a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of the Texture Chic DSP to use as the card front. I adhered it by adding a strip of Tear & Tape to the inside edge of the short Soft Suede flap and along the left front edge of the DSP piece. I lined up the right edge of the DSP to the edge of the card base, then closed the short flap over the top to secure it. You can watch the video replay to see it in action.
Background Basics—I embossed a 3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Suede with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and adhered that to the short front flap. Next, I die-cut a Sahara Sand rectangle with the Online Exclusive Radiating Stitches Dies. I stamped on that piece with the spotted Season of Chic image in Sahara Sand ink and adhered it to the card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Flower Layers—I stamped the Season of Chic solid flower images in Petal Pink ink onto Petal Pink cardstock. I added a flower outline image in Soft Suede over the top of the flowers, then die-cut them with the coordinating Chic Die. I also die-cut Soft Suede flower centers and a single Basic White flower with the Chic Dies. The white flower mimics the white flowers on the DSP. It's adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I popped up the two Petal Pink flowers with Dimensionals. I added a couple of copper Brushed Metallic Dots on the flowers, too!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Season of Chic sentiment in Soft Suede ink onto a Basic White Radiating Stitches die-cut. After adhering a piece of Pool Party Grosgrain Ribbon to the back, I popped that element up with more Dimensionals.
Inside The Card—I love how you can see the beautiful backside of the DSP on the inside of the card! Those pretty gold foil accents do not go to waste that way! Yay! I finished by stamping similar flowers and spotty accents on the 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White writing layer. So lovely!
