Waterside Retreat Father’s Day Card

The Waterside Retreat Suite is perfect for making cards for Dads! While my class will not be in your hands in time for Father’s Day, here’s a fun idea for Dad if you already have the products! And, if you earn the class, you can always switch the sentiments on this layout to be for a birthday instead.

Background Basics

I started by embossing a 5-1/4″ x 2″ piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock with the Hundred Acre Wood Embossing Folder and adhering it to the top of a Misty Moonlight card base with SEAL Adhesive. I adhered a 5-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ piece of Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the card with SEAL. I added a 5-1/4″ x 1/2″ piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock across the middle for a finished look.

Focal Point

I die-cut a Basic Beige Stylish Shapes circle and mounted it onto the card front with SEAL. Next, I stamped the Relaxing Waterside chair image in Early Espresso ink onto Basic White cardstock and colored it in with Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends Markers. I die-cut it with the coordinating Relaxing Waterside die and popped it up with Dimensionals.

I also stamped the coffee cup in Early Espresso an colored it in with Balmy Blue Blends Markers, attaching it to the chair arm with more SEAL.

I stamped the two grasses images in Mossy Meadow ink onto Basic White cardstock, die-cut them and added them to the back ground on either side with SEAL Adhesive.

Sweet Sentiment

I stamped the Relaxing Waterside sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink onto a 3/8″ strip of Gray Granite, trimmed the ends an popped it up over the chair back.

Cool Fisher Cooler

I stamped a Relaxing Waterside word onto a Gray Granite Nested Elements die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals to represent a cooler. I filled it with colorful fish hand-cut directly out of the Waterside Retreat DSP. They are popped up with Dimensionals, as well.
