Butterfly Bouquet Thinking of You Card
I CASEd this card from a cool swap card I received from Julie Davison. Her card is featured below. I love the collage layers and simple butterflies on this all-occasion card. It's included as part of my Butterfly Bouquet 25-Card Tutorial PDF.
Background Basics—I started with a 5-1/2" x 1-1/2" strip of Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper adhered across the middle of a Bermuda Bay card base. Next, I adhered a 3" x 3" piece of Bijou DSP onto a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Basic White and added it at an angle onto the card front. For the final collage layer, I added a 3" x 1/2" piece of Natural Touch Specialty Paper.
Sweet Butterflies—I stamped the Butterfly Brilliance image in Bermuda Bay onto Pool Party cardstock, die-cut them with the Brilliant Wings dies and popped them onto the square with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Happy Thoughts greeting in Bermuda Bay ink onto Basic White cardstock, punched it out with the Timeless Label Punch and popped it up. I finished with Champagne Rhinestone Jewels on the butterflies and sentiment label. Quick & super-cute!
Two Cool—Julie Davison created this version and I love the colors SO MUCH! She started with a Misty Moonlight card base, a Bermuda Bay pattern of Butterfly Bijou DSP and the Mint Macaron & Highland Heather pattern of DSP for the square. Her butterflies are Misty Moonlight stamped onto Bermuda Bay cardstock. The greeting is in Misty Moonlight, as well. Lovely!
Butterfly Brilliance Sorry You're Blue Card
Barb Mullikin created this sweet Butterfly Bouquet card that highlights a great tip for the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set! It's another card project featured in my 25-Card Tutorial.
Background Basics—See that cool patterned background? Barb created that be saving the extra rubber stamp bits that punch out of the Butterfly Brilliance image. She arranged them all onto an acrylic block and used them to create stamp the pattern that kind of looks like a giraffe's pattern! How clever! She stamped it in Mint Macaron ink onto a 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Mint Macaron. Next, she adhered a 4-3/4" x 1-1/2" strip of Butterfly Bijou DSP across the bottom. She wrapped some Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon around the piece, securing the ends on the back, and mounted it all onto a 4-7/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Misty Moonlight. It's adhered to a Thick Basic White card base.
Sweet Sentiment—Barb stamped a sentiment from the Boho Indigo Product Medley stamp set in Misty Moonlight onto a 2-1/4" x 3/4" piece of Basic White. The end is banner cut and it's adhered to the top with SEAL.
Sweet Butterflies—The larger Butterfly Brilliance image in stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Misty Moonlight cardstock, die-cut with Brilliant Wings dies and popped up with Dimensionals. The smaller butterfly is die-cut from Just Jade cardstock with the same dies and popped up with Mini Dimensionals. Barb finished by adding a few Rhinestone Jewels around the butterflies. So sweet!
