Waterside Retreat Today Is Your Day Card

Who doesn’t need a little more relaxation in their lives? The Waterside Retreat Suite is the perfect collection for creating masculine cards with a calming & peaceful lake theme. Whether it’s for Father’s Day, birthdays or retirement, this suite has you covered!

Today, I’m sharing a peek at one of cards from my Waterside Retreat Class, coming mid-June. Please Note: This class won’t be in time for Father’s Day, but if you order the suite right away, you’ll have the products to play with on your own in time for dad’s special day!

Background Basics

I started by embossing a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Peaceful Pine cardstock with the Hundred Acre Woods Embossing Folder and mounted it onto a Peaceful Pine card base.

Next, I layered a 3″ x 4″ piece of Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper onto a 3-1/8″ x 4-1/8″ piece of Old Olive cardstock. The layers were then mounted on the card front with SEAL Adhesive.

Focal Point Foundation

I die-cut a Basic White Stylish Shapes circle and stamped the Relaxing Waterside sentiment at the top of it in Peaceful Pine ink. It’s adhered to the card front with SEAL.

Focal Point

I stamped the Relaxing Waterside chair image in Early Espresso ink onto Basic White cardstock, then colored it with the Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers. I used Light Pecan Pie to color the whole chair, then added some Dark Pecan Pie for shading to really bring it to life. Then I die-cut it with the coordinating Relaxing Waterside die and popped it up with Dimensionals.

Next, I stamped the coffee cup and book elements in Early Espresso ink onto Basic White cardstock. The coffee cup is colored with Old Olive Blends and the book with Misty Moonlight Blends. Both are die-cut and attached with SEAL or Liquid Glue onto the chair.

Focal Point Extras

I stamped the Relaxing Waterside weeds in Peaceful Pine ink, die-cut them and popped them up with Dimensionals.

Sentiment & Finishing Touches

I stamped a Relaxing Waterside sentiment in Old Olive ink onto a 3/8″ strip of Basic Beige cardstock, trimmed the ends and attached with SEAL Adhesive.

I finished by adding a few Old Olive Moody Palette Glossy Dots. Oh, so peaceful!
