Fresh As A Daisy Circle Birthday Card
I CASEd a beautiful swap card that I received from Julie Salva to create this class card featuring the new Wild Wheat In Color! I love that the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper showcases the new In Colors, along with a whole palette of additional colors! My LIVE Class cards feature a card highlighting each of the new In Colors: Boho Blue, Copper Clay, Moody Mauve, Pebbled Path and Wild Wheat! Be sure to check out my LIVE class tomorrow night, or catch the replay later.
Background Basics—I texture embossed a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Wild Wheat cardstock with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder, then mounted it onto a Wild Wheat card base.
Circle Focal Point—The circle focal point was created with the Fresh As A Daisy DSP, die-cut with the second largest Stylish Shapes circle die. I adhered that to the card front, then added a strip of Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon across the lower part of it with SEAL Adhesive.
Delightful Daisies—Next, I stamped the Cheerful Daisies image onto Basic White cardstock with Pebbled Path ink, stamped off TWICE to achieve a really light color that matched the color of the daisies in the DSP. For the flower center, I inked it up with Lemon Lolly, then rolled the edges of it in Crushed Curry before stamping. The flowers are die-cut with the coordinating Cheerful Daisies Dies, then I finished by adding some Early Espresso color with a Stampin' Write Marker. I thought they turned out really well, as far as making them look like the DSP! I adhered them, along with a Basic White branch die-cut to the left side of the circle.
Sweet Sentiment & Finishing Touches—I stamped the Cheerful Daisies sentiment in Early Espresso onto a Lemon Lolly Cheerful Daises label die-cut, then popped it up with Dimensionals. I finished with a few Wild Wheat In Color Dots. So, so pretty!
Fresh As A Daisy Circle Birthday Swap Card
Here is the lovely swap card that I received from Julie Salva that inspired my class card above! I adore her colors an especially the white "silhouette" look against the DSP pattern. Beautiful!
Background Basics—Julie's Bubble Bath background was embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder, then mounted onto a Bubble Bath card base.
Circle Focal Point—Julie's circle was die-cut from a different Moody Mauve pattern. She added Basic White daisies and branch from the the Cheerful Daisies Dies. LOVE it!
Sweet Sentiment & Finishing Touches—Julie stamped the Cheerful Daisies greeting in Memento Black onto a Bubble Bath Cheerful Daisies die-cut label. Before popping it up with Dimensionals, she added a couple loops of Linen Thread to the back. She finished with a few Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems. Prettiness, for sure!
