I love combining the new In Colors with colors we already have in our Stampin' Up! palette! It's so much fun to discover cool, trendy new color combinations! Last month, I challenged our Too Cool team to create swaps using some new and old colors together and we had some phenomenal projects!

I think one of my favorite new combinations is Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist & Bermuda Bay! Today, I'm sharing two cool cards from our team in that bold and refreshing trio of colors!

Darla's Daisy Delight Thank You Card

Darla Eigenschink used the Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist & Bermuda Bay color combination with the ultra-popular Daisy Delight bundle! I love her multicolored, shimmery daisy! Here's how to get this look…

Background Basics—The Bermuda Bay card base is cut 1/2" short to create an off-set opening. Start with a 5-1/2" x 8" piece and score at the 3-3/4" mark to make the shortened card front. She stamped a Daisy Delight border in Bermuda Bay along the bottom edge of the 5-1/4" x 4" Whisper White card inside, so the decorative border would show when the card is closed.

Stamped Card Front—Darla stamped the skinny stem images from Daisy Delight in Lemon Lime Twist ink three times onto the left edge of the 5-1/4" x 3-5" layer of Whisper White. She also stamped the daisy image in Bermuda Bay, stamped off one time for a subtle "bouquet" feel.

Finishing Touches—She stamped the sentiment in Berry Burst along the bottom of the Whisper White layer, then matted it onto a 5-3/8" x 3-5/8" layer of Lemon Lime Twist before it's mounted on the card front. Darla finished the background by tying some strands of Burlap Ribbon around the card front.

Daisy Duo-Tone—Check out Darla's amazing daisy! She used the Baby Wipe Technique to make the multicolor, blended image. It's easy to do: simply fold up a baby wipe into several layers, drop on some refill ink color until the drops overlap a little, then use the baby wipe as an ink pad. She used drops of Bermuda Bay and Berry Burst and they look so lovely blended together! The daisy was stamped twice using that homemade ink pad, then punched out the shapes with the Daisy Punch.

Darla adhered the daisies with Glue Dots, then added some Wink of Stella Clear for amazing shimmer. She finished it with a sparkly Clear Faceted Gem in the flower center. Lovely!

Karen's Ribbon of Courage Love & Hugs Card

Teammate Karen Ellert-Flory also had the combination of Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist & Bermuda Bay in mind when she designed this delightful card using the Ribbon of Courage stamp set. I love that she used all of the other images besides the ribbon image on this card. It shows that the set is much more versatile than it might first appear!

Background Basics—Karen randomly stamped the lovely background pattern onto a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White card stock using the accent images from the Ribbon of Courage set. The large hearts were stamped in Berry Burst, the small hearts in Lemon Lime Twist and the tiny flowers in Bermuda Bay. What a fun and cheerful pattern! After tying some Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron Ribbon around that layer, she adhered it to a 5-1/4" x 4" layer of Lemon Lime Twist, then mounted it to a Berry Burst card base.

Finishing Touches—Karen stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink onto Whisper White, die-cut it with the Layering Circles Framelits, and layered it onto another scallop circle, also in Bermuda Bay. She added a few floating Rhinestones around the greeting for some sparkle. Very nice, Karen!
