Friendly Hello Pocket Cards
I designed these cards to help showcase those pretty Friendly Hello papers, and the images look so lovely with these coordinated papers!
Background Basics—This fun-fold card style begins with a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of Pool Party cardstock, scored at the 2-1/2" and 6-1/2" marks. Fold both of those flaps toward the center; the large flap becomes the card front and the smaller one becomes the front pocket. I decorated the top flap with a 5-1/4" x 2-1/4" piece of Friendly Hello DSP and the bottom flap with a 5-1/4" x 1-3/4" piece of coordinating striped DSP. I secured the pocket in place by tying some Pool Party Sheer Ribbon around the flap into a double-knot.
Focal Point—I die-cut a Basic White label with the Tasteful Labels Dies and stamped a Friendly Hello bird image on it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The image is colored with Stampin' Blends Markers in Pool Party, Petal Pink, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green and Soft Suede. I popped up the label with Dimensionals and added a couple of Iridescent Rhinestones to the flower centers for some sparkle.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Friendly Hello greeting in Memento Black onto a 2-1/2" x 5/8" piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock, banner-cut the end and popped it up onto the card front, too.
Finishing Touches—I stamped a couple of Friendly Hello images in Pool Party ink onto a 4-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic White to create the card for the pocket. This pocket card style is fantastic for holding a gift card, too!
Two Cool—The second version of this card begins with a Fresh Freesia card base and a different pattern of Friendly Hello paper on the top flap.
Focal Point—I stamped the flower image on this Tasteful Label die-cut, coloring it in with Fresh Freesia and Petal Pink Blends. This time, I decorated with Iridescent Rhinestones floating around the flowers.
Sweet Sentiment—The photo shows a Pale Papaya sentment piece, but if you want to perfectly coordinate, you'll want this piece to be in Petal Pink…ooops!
