Whether it's the snowflake, bell, ornament or star, you'll love the gorgeous die-cuts that can be created with the Gingerbread Dies! I created a simple card with a shortened front to showcase these beautiful layered images.
Background Basics—This card is part of the 5-Card LIVE Class Kit. I started with a Real Red card base measuring 7" x 5-1/2" and scored at the 4-1/4" mark. A 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Real Red cardstock was embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder then mounted onto the card front.
I layered a 3" x 3" piece of the Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Series Paper onto a 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" piece of Basic White, then popped that focal point foundation to the shortened card front with Dimensionals.
Die-Cut Focal Point—I used the Gingerbread Dies to cut a Pear Pizzazz solid snowflake and Basic White intricate snowflake. The layers are attached with a Glue Dot then adhered to the square with SEAL Adhesive. I added a single Wonderful Gem to the center for some sparkle.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Frosted Gingerbread greeting in Pear Pizzazz ink onto a 2-3/4" x 5/8" strip of Basic White. After "fishtail" cutting the ends into a pretty banner, I popped up the piece with Dimensionals.
Two Cool—This second card has an Old Olive card base with an Old Olive textured background on the front. I selected a different pattern of DSP and layered that onto Real Red this time.
Sensational Star—I love the addition of the star shape in the Gingerbread Dies! I die-cut the solid star in Pear Pizzazz and intricate one in Basic White, layered and topped with a Wonderful Gem, like the snowflake.
Sweet Sentiment—The sentiment is identical to the first card, except in Real Red.
