Frosted Gingerbread Peppermint Candies Cards
While the gingerbread patterns and images are likely the biggest draw to the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite, we can't forget about those cute little candies! The Frosted Gingerbread stamp set comes with four adorable candy images that can be easily die-cut with the circles in the Gingerbread Dies. Pair it with the coordinating Designer Series Paper and you have an adorable holiday card!
Background Basics—This card is part of the 5-Card LIVE Class Kit and larger Countdown To Christmas class. I began by embossing the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White cardstock with the dotted pattern from the Checks & Dots Embossing Folder pack. It's a little smaller than the piece, so I embossed only the right side. Then, I added a 1" x 5-1/4" of Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP down the untextured side. It's adhered to the Pear Pizzazz card base. I finished the background by tying some Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon around the card front into a double-knot.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Frosted Gingerbread sentiment in Old Olive ink onto a Basic White Tasteful Labels die-cut, then popped it up with Dimensionals.
Cute Candies—I stamped the 3-candy image and single candy swirl in Real Red ink onto Basic White scrap, then die-cut them with the coordinating Gingerbread Dies. They are popped up with Dimensionals, as well, then three of them are topped with Rhinestone Jewels.
Two Cool—The second card in the Countdown To Christmas class is pretty much exactly the same with a different peppermint candy pattern of DSP. The only other thing I did was position the sentiment at the top and swap the greeting with another one from the set.
Three Cool—The final two cards from the 12-card kit begin with a Pear Pizzazz background, textured with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. The layers are mounted onto a Thick Basic White card base.
Sweet Sentiment—This time, I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink to contrast the background.
Four Cool—The final card just swaps out the DSP to the striped pattern and the positioning of the greeting is at the bottom again.
Adorable and so easy to duplicate for a whole stack of cute holiday cards!
