Frosted Gingerbread with Icing Cards
I couldn't have a set of Frosted Gingerbread cards without spotlighting the look of gingerbread cookies with icing. The Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Series Paper offers lots of patterns that are perfect!
Background Basics—I started by adding a 5-1/2" x 2" piece of Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP to a Cinnamon Cider card base. Next, I stamped the Frosted Gingerbread border in Cinnamon Cider ink across the card just above the DSP. I finished the background by tying some Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon around the card front.
Gingerbread Focal Point—I die cut a Real Red scallop circle and coordinating Basic White circle using the Layering Circles Dies, adhered them together and popped them up onto the card front with Dimensionals. Next, I stamped the Frosted Gingerbread bell image in Cinnamon Cider ink onto Basic White and die-cut it with the Gingerbread Dies. It's popped up onto the circle with more Dimensionals. I adorned it with a single Wonderful Gem.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Frosted Gingerbread greeting in Real Red ink onto a 3" x 1" piece of Basic White, fishtail cut one end and adhered it to the card front..
Two Cool—You can select any of the Frosted Gingerbread images to feature on the front of this card. Here, I chose the ornament image.
Three Cool—The final two cards from this Countdown To Christmas card design starts with an Early Espresso card base, a different pattern of Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP and a border stamped in Early Espresso.
Focal Point—I die-cut an Old Olive scallop circle for the focal point here, and stamped the Frosted Gingerbread snowflake in Real Red.
Sweet Sentiment—I chose a different sentiment this time, and positioned it on the other side of the card.
Four Cool—The final card just swaps out the DSP and features the ornament image.
Another card layout that's easy to duplicate for a whole stack of cute holiday cards!
