Collect all of the In Color cardstock, inks, refills, markers, ribbon, DSP and gems, along with the Sweet Blooms & Pretty Florals stamp sets & Florals In Bloom Designer Series Papers, all over the course of 5 months. This is a new “progressive” style of club, where you will place suggested orders of around $54 per month and receive card supplies to create 4 cards (2 each of 2 designs) with the products you have purchased.

Fans of my past In Color Clubs will notice that this is not a “color-a-month” approach. Instead, we’ll add an assortment of products each month, building on what you have already received, and eventually completing your In Color collection by the final month. Thankful Garden Center-Mounted Card

My Lovely Garden Class Kit earning period now ends on May 3, to accommodate the just-announced Double Rewards Promotion! Here is one of the fun-fold cards from the class!

Background Basics

I started by adhering a 4-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ piece of Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper across the bottom of a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Melon Mambo cardstock. Next, I mounted a 3-3/8″ x 4-5/8″ piece of Basic Black onto the card front.

Center-Mount Card

The card base is a 6-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock that’s scored at the 3-1/4″ mark. I mounted that onto the Basic Black foundation, then added a Lovely Garden DSP piece measuring 3″ x 4-1/4″ to the front of the card.

Focal Point

I stamped the Thankful Garden flower in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic White cardstock. I used the Thankful Garden Masks, along with Blending Brushes, to add soft colors to the image. Starting with mask 2, I blended on some light Fresh Freesia ink onto the blooms. Then, I used mask 1 to add all over light color with Light Melon Mambo ink.

Next, I used mask 4 and 5 to blend Garden Green ink onto the leaves and stems. I die-cut the image with the coordinating Thankful Garden Dies and I also die-cut a Thankful Garden leafy branch in Garden Green cardstock. I cut the branch into two pieces, adhering each piece to the back of the floral image before popping it up with Dimensionals.

Sweet Sentiment

I stamped the Thankful Garden sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Basic White scrap piece, then used my Paper Snips to fussy-cut the word “thankful.” I popped it up with more Dimensionals (using the edging for the smallest areas).

Finishing Touches

I finished by adding a few Iridescent Faceted Gems around the focal point. Beautiful!
