Balloon Background—I randomly stamped the Birthday Surprise sketched balloon images on across the background in a diagonal pattern using Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Old Olive inks. I tried to have odd numbers of each color for a pleasing-to-the-eye look.
Once the stamping and glittering were done, I matted this layer on a 5-1/4' x 4" piece of Melon Mambo and adhered it to the card front with Dimensionals.
Another thing I love about this simple card design is that you can substitute any of the classic birthday images from the Birthday Surprise to change up the look!
The party hats and birthday cupcakes would look just as awesome! And, they would make a cute, matching gift set of birthday cards, too! Hmmm…I just might have to do that!
I used the birthday presents for this vertical version. Wouldn't those gifts look great on a Christmas-themed card, too?!
