Gnome For The Holidays Class Cards
If you love to color, and especially if you adore gnomes, you'll love creating these cute cards! I featured paper from two different Designer Series Paper packs, both of which are on sale for 15% off during October. Both of these card designs will be included in the 5-Card LIVE Class Kit!
Background Basics—I embossed the 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Seaside Spray cardstock with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder, then wrapped some of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon around the bottom.
Oooh…that Metallic Mesh is perfect for wintery cards! It's actually featured in the Magic In This Night Halloween Suite for it's cool, cobweb appearance, but the silver shimmer makes a lovely snowy accent, too! The ends are secured to the back and then the layer is mounted onto a Basic Black card base.
DSP Layer—I layered a 3" x 4" piece of Trimming The Town DSP onto a 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" layer of Basic Black, then mounted that onto the card front.
Gnome Goodness—I stamped one of the Gnome For The Holidays characters in Memento Black Ink onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes oval die-cut. I colored the image with Stampin' Blends Markers. The hat is colored with Light Seaside Spray and Light Misty Moonlight. His outfit is colored with Misty Moonlight. His face is Light Petal Pink and his beard is lightly colored with Light Smoky Slate. I popped up the oval with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I stamped the Gnome For The Holidays sentiment in Memento Black Ink onto a 3/8" wide strip of Smoky Slate cardstock, banner-cut the ends and adhered it to the oval. I finished by adding a few Rhinestone Jewels around the character.
Two Cool—The background for this second card is Pear Pizzazz embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D Folder. It's tied with some Real Red Sheer Ribbon and mounted onto the card base. The focal point foundation is another pattern from the Trimming The Town DSP.
Girl Gnome—I stamped this image onto the same oval shape and colored her in with Real Red, Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, Petal Pink, Soft Suede and Mango Melody Stampin' Blends Markers.
Finishing Touches—The sentiment is stamped onto a So Saffron strip this time and the character is accented with Red Rhinestones.
