Good To The Last Bite Halloween Treats
If you need a quick & cute treat for a Halloween party, this is a fantastic project! You can make 4 out of a one 12" x 12" piece of designer series paper and still have some leftover paper for other projects!
Easy Treat Instructions—I started with a 2-3/4" x 8-1/2" piece of Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper. It's scored along the long side at: 1/2", 3-3/4", 4-3/4" and 8". The 1/2" ends will fold down to show the opposite side of the paper. I love when we can show off both sides of our awesome Designer Series Papers!
I got this idea from Angie Juda at Chic 'n Scratch. Watch her 12 Weeks of Halloween Week 4 video to see how easily it's assembled.
Assembly—After I folded up the sides and folded down the cuffs, I used my Handheld Mini Stapler to secure the top. We'll add the treats later. I wrapped some Old Olive Baker's Twine around the top a couple of times and tied a bow for a simple accents.
Dracula Décor—I die-cut a Tangelo Twist label from the Tags & Labels Framelits for a background layer. Then, I stamped the image from Merry Everything in Black Archival Ink onto Very Vanilla. Dracula is colored in with Pear Pizzazz ink and a Blender Pen. After punching out the image with the Note Tag Punch, I popped it up over a mini banner measuring 2-1/2" x 3/4". A couple of Rhinestone Jewels finish the accents.
Two Cool—It was fun to try this project in all of the Happy Hauntings papers!
Three Cool—I think this one might be my favorite!
The Treats—So what is inside? I added Reese's Minis because they matched, but you could add any fun-size bagged treats: Gummy Bears, Skittles, M&Ms, Reese's Pieces, etc. My treats were just the right size to slide in easily. I tucked in the corners so they wouldn't show as much.
Complete Supplies List—"Clear mount" is a rubber stamp to be used on a clear acrylic block, "Photopolymer" is the see-thru style of stamps, also used with acrylic blocks.
