Hi Stamping Friends!
Every time the Retired List is announced, there are always a few stamp sets on it that really make me sad. Blooms & Wishes is one of those sets. I love the pretty flower images that layer and collage together so beautifully. I haven't used it nearly as much as I had intended and now it's going to be gone for good. <sigh>
As soon as I signed up to participate in our Too Cool Team's retired list swap, I immediately knew which stamp set I wanted to feature. I put together two sweet Blooms & Wishes cards one more time using some of the soon-to-retire colors.

Sweet Blooms & Wishes Collage Cards
The most difficult part of putting these sweet cards together is coming up with your favorite color combinations. It's so much fun to experiment! Changing even one color gives the collage of blooms a totally different look. My two cool versions, for example, I swapped out only two colors colors, but those two colors make a big difference!
Retiring Products: Blooms & Wishes stamp set; Sweet Sugarplum, Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi & Perfect Plum colors
Blooms Collage Background—I stamped the Blooms & Wishes flowers onto a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White cardstock, keeping the blooms positioned near the lower half of the card. Here is the order I stamped them, along with the colors used:
- Stamp the largest flower in Powder Pink ink on the lower right side.
- Stamp the 6-petal flower in Powder Pink on either side to create a "triangle" with first flower
- Stamp same flower in Sweet Sugarplum twice, as shown
- Stamp the smaller-petal flower in Rich Razzleberry ink three times
- Stamp the round bloom in Marina Mist three times in the blank spaces
- Fill in the blank spaces with the leaves and sprig images in Wild Wasabi ink
I stamped the large flower a second time on scrap Whisper White, and stamped the flower center in Sweet Sugarplum on the center. It's cut it out with Paper Snips and popped up with Dimensionals.
Sentiment & Layers—I stamped the Blooms & Wishes sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum above the floral collage, then layered it onto a piece of 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Powder Pink cardstock. It's mounted onto a vertically-folded 11" x 4-1/4" piece of Marina Mist card stock. I tied some of the retiring 1/4" Whisper White Organza Ribbon around the top into a double-knot "bow."
Finishing Touches—I topped every bloom with a Rhinestone Jewel for extra-sparkly details! Ahhhh! So lovely!
Two Cool—I LOVE how my second card turned out because it is reminiscent of my "Too Cool" logo colors! Wheeee! Here are the steps:
- Stamp the largest flower in Pool Party ink on the lower right side.
- Stamp the 6-petal flower in Pool Party on either side to create a "triangle" with first flower
- Stamp same flower in Perfect Plum twice, as shown
- Stamp the smaller-petal flower in Rich Razzleberry ink three times
- Stamp the round bloom in Marina Mist three times in the blank spaces
- Fill in the blank spaces with the leaves and sprig images in Wild Wasabi ink
- Stamp large flower in Pool Party onto scrap, add Perfect Plum center and cut out
Finishing The Card—This card has a Wild Wasabi mat and a Bermuda Bay card base. Love those sweet colors!
