Gorgeous Leaves Leaf Line-Up Cards
I had so much fun experimenting with lots of colors on these two autumn cards! You don't need to stick with traditional fall colors! I expanded my color palette into a variety of blues, greens and neutrals for a refreshing line-up of leaves!
Background Basics—I started by stamping the woodgrain image from Gorgeous Leaves in Mossy Meadow along the top and bottom edges of a Mossy Meadow card base. Next, I embossed a 5-1/2" x 1-3/4" piece of Basic White cardstock with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. It's adhered to a 5-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Sahara Sand.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped an Inspired Thoughts long sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink along the bottom of the Sahara Sand layer, then adhered the layers onto the card front. I tied some Linen Thread around the layer for some natural texure.
Leaves Line-Up—I stamped the small Gorgeous Leaves image in five different colors onto scrap Basic White: Mossy Meadow, Balmy Blue, Gray Granite, Soft Succulent and Pear Pizzazz. The images were die-cut with the Intricate Leaves Dies. I adhered the second and fourth leaves directly onto the card front with SEAL adhesive, then popped up the other leaves with Dimensionals.Finishing Touches—I added a single Genial Gem to the second leaf. Even though the gem is technically Soft Succulent, it is translucent enough that it picks up the color of whatever is behind it. That means it really goes wonderfully with a wide variety of greens and blues!
Two Cool—My second card begins with a Soft Suede card base that's stamped with the Gorgeous Leaves speckled image in stamped-off Soft Suede along the top and bottom edges. This time, I embossed the white layer with the Timber Embossing Folder and layered it onto Soft Succulent. I stamped the Inspired Thoughts sentiment in Soft Suede.
Stamped Leaves—I changed up the colors of the leaves on this one to include Pear Pizzazz, Cinnamon Cider, Soft Succulent, Sahara Sand and Pool Party. So, so pretty for all kinds of occasions!
