Gorgeous Leaves Gather Together Card
Sarah Simons created this beautiful fall card that is just my style! I'm loving the stamped images from the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set, and they look amazing here as a colorful backdrop.
Background Basics—Sarah's card begins by embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Cajun Craze cardstock with the new Timber 3D Embossing Folder. This folder is perfect for all kinds of fall projects, flower-themed and nature-themed cards, as well as masculine greetings. Another instant classic! The textured layer is adhered to an Evening Evergreen card base.
Leafy Panel—Sarah stamped the Gorgeous Leaves images onto a 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. The maple is stamped in Cajun Craze, The smaller leaf is stamped in Soft Succulent and the long leaf is stamped in Bumblebee. I'm not sure, but it looks like the images might even be stamped off once, and if that is the case, she may have used Evening Evergreen and not Soft Succulent. This piece is mounted onto a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Evening Evergreen and adhered to the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—Sarah stamped a Pretty Pumpkin sentiment in Cajun Craze onto a 1" wide strip of Bumblebee cardstock. She punched the end with the Treasured Tags Pick-A-Punch and trimmed the other end flush with the embossed layer. It's popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—She added a few of the new Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Gems around the leaves and added an Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon bow to the tag with a Glue Dot. She finished by stamping another Gorgeous Leaves leaf in Evening Evergreen ink, die-cutting it with the Intricate Leaves dies and popping it up at the bottom of the card. So lovely!
Gorgeous Leaves Thankful For You Card
Ruth Bingle shared this swap card with me and it features the amazing Intricate Leaves shapes as the focal points!
Background Basics—Ruth began by stamping a Pretty Pumpkins greeting in Early Espresso ink onto the bottom of a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White cardstock. It's mounted onto a Cajun Craze card base. Next, she layered a 4-3/4" x 1-1/4" piece of Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper onto a 5" x 1-1/2" layer of Early Espresso. It's adhered across the top of the card with SEAL Adhesive.
Lovely Leaves—Ruth die-cut Intricate Leaves shapes in Bumblebee, Cajun Craze and Cinnamon Cider cardstocks. She attached them to the card front with Liquid Multipurpose Glue. She finished up by adding a few Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots. Oh, I really love those embellishments! They are so elegant and really dress up a card! Great card, Ruth!
