Gorgeous Posies Comfort & Peace Cards
The Gorgeous Posies stamp set has sentiments for all occasions, including this one that perfect as a sympathy card.
Background Basics—I embossed a 5-1/4" x 4" layer of Soft Sea Foam with the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder then adhered them to a Soft Sea Foam card base.
Stamped Layer—I stamped the Gorgeous Posies leaves in Soft Sea Foam ink onto a 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White, then added a sentiment in Basic Gray ink. I mounted that onto a 4" x 3" piece of Petal Pink cardstock. Next, I cut a Square Vellum Doily in half at a diagonal and adhered the pieces to opposite corners of the stamped layer. It's popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Sweet Flower—I stamped the Gorgeous Posies posy and flower center images in Petal Pink ink onto Whisper White scrap cardstock, then trimmed them out with my super-sharp Paper Snips. I adhered the flower center to the bloom with SEAL, then popped up the flower with Dimensionals. I finished by adding a few Champagne Rhinestones around the bloom.
Two Cool—My second version begins with a Blushing Bride card base and embossed layer.
Focal Point—The only thing I really changed with this card is the color combination. The leaves and mat are in Pear Pizzazz and the flower is in Blushing Bride to match the card base. I also added the Champagne Rhinestones to the flower center instead of floating them around the flower. I love it both ways!
