I started with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at the 4-1/4″ mark for the card base. Next, I adhered a piece of 4-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ Soft Sea Foam across the middle of the card.

The highlight of this card is the pretty stamped background and the Greenery Lane stamp set lends itself to this awesome technique because of so many coordinating elements in just the right sizes.

I started with a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock. When you stamp all over a piece like this, you’ll have the best-looking results if you:

  1. Start with the largest images first, then the next smallest, then use the smaller images to fill in the spaces.
  2. Start from one side and go toward the other or start in the center and move toward the edges. This keeps you from having large awkward white spaces or unintentional overlapping images.
  3. Stamp the images on the edge of the paper. This helps it look like it is a cut piece of decorated paper.

I started by stamping the largest Greenery Lane image in Lost Lagoon for the outline and stamped-off Lost Lagoon for the fill-in image. Then, I added the smaller leaves in Soft Sea Foam ink in some of the larger spaces in-between. Finally, I used the two tiny flower images with Secret Sea ink to fill in the blank spaces. I matted the piece onto a 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″ piece of Secret Sea cardstock and mounted it onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive.

When you have such a pretty background, all you need to finish is a sentiment focal point. I stamped the Greenery Lane sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink at the top of a Basic White Everyday Arches die-cut label. After tying some Secret Sea Bordered Open Weave Ribbon around the element, I popped it up with Dimensionals.

I finished by adding a few white Moody Palette Glossy Dots around the focal point. Just lovely!
