Halloween Night Spooky Fun Treat Totes
I created these cute little Halloween treats for a recent Too Cool team meeting and I thought they were so fun! They are super-easy to make, too!
Make Your Own Treat Tote—I got the idea for these treat bags from Angie Juda at Chic 'N Scratch and you can find a handy video tutorial on how to create them here: Spooky Bag Video Tutorial. This tote comes together so easy once you see it in action, so check out the video. Here are all the basic measurements for your Designer Series Paper to get you started:
- Start with a 10" x 5" piece of DSP.
- Along the 5" side, score at 1-1/4" and 3-3/4"
- Along the 10" side, score at 4" and 6"
Box Basics—I created my treats from this season's Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper. It's a fun project that showcases both sides of our awesome double-sided paper!
Spooky Décor—I stamped the witch and "eek" from the Spooky Fun stamp set in Archival Black Ink onto a Whisper White Layering Circles Framelits die-cut. I definitely recommend using Archival Ink for any solid black image…it makes a nice & crisp, true black image every time! I layered the circle onto a Copper Foil scallop circle, also cut from the Layering Circles Framelits. Both circles are popped up with Dimensionals.
Tote Ties—To close the treat totes, I punched through both layers with a standard office 1/4" hole punch, then threaded through some Tip Top Taupe 5/8" Mini Striped Ribbon. I didn't have any wide ribbon that matched the paper perfectly, but I loved how this ribbon looked silvery and thought it was just fine. I secured the ribbon by tying it with Halloween Night Baker's Twine.
Sweet Sentiment—I finished the box by stamping another Spooky Fun phrase on Whisper White and punching it out with the Classic Label Punch. It's popped up with more Dimensionals.
Two Cool—I made the treat box with several of the Halloween Night DSP, including this pumpkin pattern. I mixed up the Spooky Fun images, too, this time using the ghosts. Boo!
Treats In The Tote—I wanted the treats inside the tote to match, so I found an assortment of Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in traditional milk chocolate, plus white chocolate and dark chocolate. I love how well they coordinated! Too Cool!
Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.
